Community Initiatives & Programs

Our community is an important motivator for the team at Crystal Vision Clinic. We’re always finding new ways to give back and continue to take part in community initiatives in exciting and innovative ways.

We do this by partnering with numerous clubs and programs to help nurture and support not only eye care needs but also the needs of people in our community.

Bausch & Lomb One By One Program

You can now recycle your used contact lenses and blister packs through a free program provided by Bausch + Lomb and TerraCycle. One dollar is donated to Optometry Giving Sight for every pound of waste collected. If you want to get involved, just collect your used contact lenses and blister packs (any brand) and then drop them off here at Crystal Vision Clinic. We’ll do the rest!

VOSH

VOSH International believes in the freedom to see, providing the gift of vision and eye health to people worldwide. We facilitate the provision and sustainability of vision care worldwide for people who can neither afford nor obtain such care. You can now donate your old frames to VOSH International. Simply drop off your old frames at Crystal Vision Clinic & let us do the rest!

New Hope Lions Club

The New Hope Lions are part of Lions International, and we support local and international projects. We host several fundraisers each year, and 100% of the money generated is donated to nonprofits, city improvements, and charitable causes in and around New Hope.

Vision Loss Resources

Vision Loss Resources is a nonprofit organization that provides:

Independent living services and training
Community building
Outreach
Education for people with vision loss and their families

They provide training, classes, social activities, and support groups for over 1000 people with vision loss in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area each year!

NEAR

NEAR responds to the emergency needs of people in our community. Through a cooperative effort of 12 area churches, volunteers provide emergency food relief to residents of northern Robbinsdale, Crystal, and New Hope who live between 42nd and 62nd Avenues North.

Ukrainian Refugees

We provided free eye exams and glasses to local Ukrainian refugees. We also want to thank our staff and doctors who volunteered their time and our optical manager, Eugene Kharam, for planning the event. We are proud to help people who are new to our community and need our help.
